(AP) — A conservative group has asked a federal appeals court to reconsider a ruling last month tossing the group's lawsuit to halt an investigation into possible illegal campaign coordination. Wisconsin Club for Growth asked that the full 10-member 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals today to rehear the case after a three-judge panel last month sided with investigators.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Republican attorney general hopeful Brad Schimel now says he would defend the state's domestic partner registry. The registry extends limited legal benefits to same-sex couples. Conservative group Wisconsin Family Action filed a lawsuit in 2010 alleging the registry violates the state's constitutional ban on gay marriage. The state Supreme Court found the registry constitutional in July.
