MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A liberal group has filed a complaint alleging Wisconsin attorney general hopeful Brad Schimel used nearly $500 in campaign donations to pay his children's baby sitters between 2009 and 2013. One Wisconsin Now filed the complaint with the Government Accountability Board on Wednesday.

10-8-14 fdl woman convicted in embezzlement case

A Fond du lac woman has been convicted of stealing more than $250,000 from her employer.  Forty eight year old Denis Heffner pleaded no contest to two counts of  theft from a business setting…accused of stealing the money from Sesing Construction where she was employed as a bookkeeper.

TOWN OF RANDOLPH, Wis. (AP) — Officials estimate about 1,000 gallons of fuel spilled from an overturned tanker truck and into a marsh near Randolph in Columbia County.  Emergency management director Pat Beghin says a witness told authorities it looked like the driver of the tanker swerved to avoid hitting an animal in the roadway — possibly a deer — and crashed Tuesday. A Beaver Dam man has been convicted of sexually assaulting a teenage girl.  Fond du Lac judge Dale English ordered an imposed and stayed eight year prison sentence and ten years probation for 29 year old Derek Schroeder.  As a condition of probation Shroeder will spend six months in jail.  According to a criminal complaint Shroeder had sex with a 16 year old girl from Waupun he met on a  dating  […]
