MADISON, Wis. (AP) — New data shows the number of workplace deaths is declining in Wisconsin. Ninety-six people died in work-related incidents in 2013 — down from 114 deaths the year before.  A sharp drop in violent occupational deaths is highlighted in the data gathered by the Wisconsin State Laboratory of Hygiene. (AP) — A conservative group has filed a federal lawsuit asking that a Wisconsin law limiting coordination between third party organizations and political candidates be declared unconstitutional.  Citizens for Responsible Government Advocates filed the lawsuit in U.S. District Court in Milwaukee on Thursday. An electrical problem is blamed for an apartment fire in Waupun that displaced the tenant.  There were no injuries in the fire in the upstairs apartment unit above a Radio Shack business in the 300 block of East Main Street Monday night.  Fire and smoke damage was combined to the one unit.  The Red Cross is assisting the tenant with temporary housing.

(AP) — The Legislature's budget committee plans to meet Tuesday to consider a request to spend about $461,000 to educate voters about the voter identification law before the Nov. 4 election.
