MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Propane dealers say they're trying to head off a repeat of last winter's supply crisis in Wisconsin by adding more storage tanks and urging customers to lock into supply contracts. Wisconsin and other upper Midwestern states grappled with a pronounced propane shortage last winter brought on by prolonged frigid weather, a pipeline closure and heavy demand for drying crops.

9-9-14 wisconsin budget shortfall

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The Legislature's nonpartisan Fiscal Bureau says the projected shortfall for the next two-year state budget ending in mid-2017 stands at nearly $1.8 billion.  The Fiscal Bureau released the latest estimate on Monday. 9-8-14 discarded cigarette starts fdl duplex fire
