(AP) — Propane dealers say they're trying to head off a repeat of last winter's supply crisis in Wisconsin by adding more storage tanks and urging customers to lock into supply contracts. Wisconsin and other upper Midwestern states grappled with a pronounced propane shortage last winter brought on by prolonged frigid weather, a pipeline closure and heavy demand for drying crops.

A discarded cigarette is apparently to blame for a fire that caused some damage to the upper unit of a Fond du Lac duplex.  Firefighters were called to the residence at Military Road and Second Street around 3pm Sunday where smoke was visible from the attic.  Fire Chief Pete O’Leary tells WFDL news on the scene everyone inside the house got out safely.   The house is located across the […]
