8-1-14 wendt’s burglary update

One person is in custody and investigators are interviewing other people following a  burglary at Wendt’s on the Lake.  The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s  Office was called to the scene on Lakeshore Drive in Van Dyne shortly after 10pm Wednesday night.  Sheriff’s captain Rick Olig says shortly after the burglary there was an attempted car entry nearby.

A man who has been considered a suspect in the Berit Beck cold-case murder in Fond du lac County has been convicted in Washington County of attempted homicide in the stabbing of his ex-girlfriend.  Craig Hron was convicted of stalking resulting in bodily harm while using a dangerous weapon, attempted armed carjacking, recklessly endangering safety and attempted first degree homicide.  Police say Hron stabbed the victim multiple times.  Hron has […]
