Nobody was injured in a fire at a assisted living facility in Waupun. Shortly before 7pm Monday firefighters were called to Prairie Ridge Assisted Living for a report of a fire in an outlet. When firefighters arrived smoke was visible and all 28 residents were safely evacuated to the dining hall portion of the building. 2-6-24 victim of fatal head on collision in fdl county identified

The Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office has identified the person killed in a head on collision in Fond du Lac County last week.  Fifty three year old Steven Heckmann of Newtown, Wisconsin was killed when his pickup truck crossed the center line on Kiel Road near Schoenborn Road striking an eastbound semi-tractor trailer head on.  The semi driver, 62-year-old Gerald Lusk of Menasha, received  minor injuries.   The highway was closed for approximately five […]
