MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin's annual nine-day gun deer-hunting season starts this weekend.  The season kicks off at sunrise on Saturday and closes on the evening of Sunday, Nov. 26.  Hunters killed 203,295 deer during the 2022 season, up 14% from 2021. 11-17-23 wisconsin unemployment rate up slightly

Wisconsin's unemployment rate was up slightly last month.  The state Department of Workforce Development Thursday released the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics data showing Wisconsin's unemployment rate was 3.2% last month.  That's up slightly from 3.1% in September and below the national rate of 3.9% in October.  The state's total labor force participation rate held steady at 65.8%, 3.1% higher than the national labor force participation rate of 62.7%.  Wisconsin's total non-farm jobs remained at a […]
