10-20-23 statewide unemployment rate up

The statewide unemployment rate was up slightly last month, but still below the national average.  Wisconsin's unemployment rate for September was 3.1 percent, up from 2.9 percent in August, but below the national unemployment rate of 3.8 percent.  The state Department of Worforce Development says Wisconsin's total non-farm jobs hit another record high of slightly over 3 million.  The total labor force grew by 5,400 and employment decreased by 1,800 over the previous month.

10-19-23 lomira man dies from injuries following car vs motorcycle crash

A Lomira man has died from injuries following a motorcycle vs car crash in Fond du Lac County.  The Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office says 75 year old James Bauer of Lomira died Wednesday at Froedert Hospital in Milwaukee.  The crash happened about 5pm Tuesday on Highway 49 west of Church Road. 10-19-23 juneau man faces child pornography charges

10-19-23 dodge county atv crash victim identified

The Dodge County Sheriff's Office has identified the victim of a serious injury ATV crash.  Eighteen year old Jillian Dunham of rural Watertown was flown by helicopter to a hospital with serious injuries following the crash Tuesday afternoon about three miles northwest of Watertown.   A preliminary investigation showed Dunham was operating the all-terrain vehicle westbound on Wood Road near County  Road K when it left the road and overturned in a ditch.  She […]

10-19-23 fdl county executive presents proposed 2024 county budget
