10-18-23 fdl walmart strong armed robbery

Three suspects are in custody following a strong armed robbery at Walmart in Fond du Lac.  Shortly before 8pm Sunday police were called to Walmart for a report that three suspects stole nearly $3600 worth of Apple watches.  According to police one suspect requested to see an iPad, and when the Walmart associate opened the locked door another suspect grabbed the worker and held him down while the two others grabbed the watches.   Police […]

UW Oshkosh Chancellor Andrew Leavitt has announced the unexpected death of assistant chancellor for the access campuses, including UWO-Fond du Lac, Martin Rudd.  An email sent Monday by chancellor Leavitt says Rudd died over the weekend.  Leavitt called Rudd's passing "unexpected."  "Martin was not just a colleague, but a friend and an integral part of students' and our organization's success," Leavitt said.    For 15 years Rudd worked as the regional executive officer and […]

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers has found $170 million in federal aid to keep a pandemic-era child care subsidy program afloat for another year and a half.
