A Fond du Lac man accused of punching and kicking his pet dog has been arrested and faces animal cruelty charges. A Fond du Lac area man was killed in a car vs tanker truck crash in Fond du Lac County.   The crash happened Friday morning on Highway 23 near Esterbrook Road west of the city of Fond du Lac.   Initial reports indicate a car ran a stop sign striking the truck.   The male victim in the car was pronounced dead at the scene.  The driver of the tanker truck, also from the Fond […]

10-2-23 two correctional officers injured at waupun prison

Two correctional officers were treated at Waupun Memorial Hospital after being attacked by an inmate at the Waupun Correctional Institution last week.  Sources tell WFDL news that one officer may have suffered a broken nose after he was struck in the face by an inmate and a second officer suffered a possible broken arm when he fell while responding to that call.   The incident happened Wednesday at the prison.

Moraine Park held its official groundbreaking celebration this week at the Beaver Dam campus for the Horicon Regional Center.   The Horicon Regional Center will house a nearly 18,000-square-foot building for lab and instructional space and a 3,500-square-foot fire training tower to help meet the current demand for firefighters and paramedics at the 50+ fire departments in the region.  The facility will also provide training spaces for other programs, helping to meet extended employer needs district-wide.   […]
