Two correctional officers were treated at Waupun Memorial Hospital after being attacked by an inmate at the Waupun Correctional Institution last week. Sources tell WFDL news that one officer may have suffered a broken nose after he was struck in the face by an inmate and a second officer suffered a possible broken arm when he fell while responding to that call. The incident happened Wednesday at the prison.
Moraine Park held its official groundbreaking celebration this week at the Beaver Dam campus for the Horicon Regional Center. The Horicon Regional Center will house a nearly 18,000-square-foot building for lab and instructional space and a 3,500-square-foot fire training tower to help meet the current demand for firefighters and paramedics at the 50+ fire departments in the region.
