9-6-23 promen drive bridge replacement public information meeting

Fond du Lac city officials want public feedback on the design of a new bridge at Lakeside Park.  A public information meeting will be held Wednesday, September 6th on the design of a new bridge that will replace the Promen Drive arch bridge in Lakeside Park.  City engineer Chris Johnson says construction is currently planned for 2025.  The meeting starts at 5pm  Wednesday at the Lakeside Park Pavilion.

9-1-23 fire damages fdl apartment complex

Improperly discarded smoking materials are blamed for a fire that damaged a Fond du Lac apartment.  Thursday afternoon Fond du Lac firefighters were called to 309 Ledgewood Drive to find smoke coming from the attic and flames  visible from a second story porch on the rear of the building.   The apartment building was evacuated and firefighters  quickly brought the fire under control.  Nobody was injured.  The apartment where the fire started and the unit directly below […]
