The Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office is cracking down on drunken driving. The Sheriff's Office is joining law enforcement agencies across Wisconsin and the nation for the annual Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign. An eight year old Fond du Lac boy was transported to the hospital following a drowning at the Taylor Park Swimming pool in Fond du Lac. Fond du Lac Fire Chief Erick Gerritson says paramedics were called to the scene shortly after 2:30pm Sunday. The Wisconsin Department of Health Services Public Health Madison & Dane County have confirmed the first human case of West Nile virus in a Wisconsin resident this year. The individual is a resident of Dane County. Cases of West Nile virus have also been reported in three horses in Wisconsin, and several mosquito pools. The horse cases were located in Dunn and Clark counties, and the positive mosquitoes were from Milwaukee and Lafayette counties.
