8-16-23 fdl county board says no to using sales tax dollars for campbellsport housing project

The Fond du Lac County Board has rejected a resolution to use sales tax revenue to help fund three housing projects in the village of Campbellsport.  County executive Sam Kaufman says the county was proposing sales tax funds in 2023 and 2024 totaling $950,000 for the projects.   Kaufman says the hope was the projects would help address a housing shortage in the county.  The projects included an additional 94 housing […]

8-16-23 new fdl high school artificial turf football stadium ribbon cutting

The new Cardinal stadium is officially open.  A ribbon cutting ceremony was held Tuesday evening.  Superintendent Dr. Jeff Fleig says fundraising for the stadium project is completed.  Dr. Fleig says the artificial turf field is named National Exchange Bank Field due to their donation of $500,000.  The new stadium is named Cardinal Stadium until 2048.  Meanwhile, the District has also unveiled it's new branding initiative.

8-16-23 fire damages fdl home

Nobody was injured in a fire that heavily damaged a Fond du Lac home. Shortly before 7pm Tuesday firefighters were called to the scene at 129 West Scott Street and quickly knocked down the fire. Nobody was home but two pets died. The cause of the fire is under investigation and the Red Cross is assisting the family.
