MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The Wisconsin Elections Commission says it has deactivated the records of more than 100,000 voters in a routine process. Every two years, the commission reviews voter records and notifies voters who have not cast a ballot in the past four years that their registration could be deactivated. Fond du Lac Public Works is notifying motorists of traffic lane closures on East Johnson Street between National Avenue and Prairie Avenue.  Starting Wednesday, August 9th the westbound lanes  on Johnson Street will be closed until Wednesday, August 16th, followed by the eastbound lanes which will be closed until Wednesday, August 23.   The closures will  allow a private contractor to complete utility excavation and restoration at Moraine Park Technical College.  A signed detour will be south […]

Fond du Lac County is hosting a Kids competition at the Fond du Lac County Fairgrounds Park.   Activities will include a three-leg race, egg and spoon race, and potato sack race, tennis ball throw and prizes for the winners.  The event will be held from 10am to noon , Thursday August 10th.

8-9-23 fdl man charged with possession of red fentanyl makes initial court appearance

A Fond du Lac man arrested on felony drug charges following a traffic stop has made his initial court appearance.  Fifty eight year old John Morgano is charged with possession of fentanyl and cocaine with intent to deliver and maintaining a drug trafficking place as a repeat offender.  Sheriff Ryan Waldschmidt says  Morgano  was arrested and deputies confiscated what was described as red fentanyl following a traffic stop.  Waldschmidt says red fentanyl is a […]
