6-1-23 fdl police release identity of body found in wooded area

Fond du Lac police have released the identity of  a body  found  in a wooded area behind a Fond du Lac residence.   Police Chief Aaron Goldstein says the deceased individual has been identified as 41 year old Tristan Phillips.  Goldstein told WFDL news that Phillips had ties to the Fond du Lac area.    Phillips'  body was discovered May 23rd in the 500 block of West Scott Street by a Fond du Lac  […]

6-1-23 drone helps capture high speed chase suspect

A high speed chase suspect was captured in Fond du Lac County with the help of a drone.  Fond du Lac County Sheriff's captain, Bill Tadych, says the chase started shortly after 9:30pm Tuesday in Winnebago County.   Tadych says the suspect fled the vehicle in the area  between Interstate 41 and Highway 151 and Lost Arrow Road.  Tadych says the Sheriff's Office drone spotted the suspect running in a field and the suspect […]

6-1-23 green bay man gets life in prison for 2021 killing

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) — A Green Bay man has been sentenced to life in prison for a drug-related killing in which prosecutors said the victim’s body was later burned at his order. Thirty-four-year-old Pedro Santiago-Marquez was sentenced Tuesday in Brown County Circuit Court to life in prison with the possibility of release on extended supervision in July 2064. The Fond du Lac Department of Public Works would like to inform the motoring public the closure of East First Street from Park Avenue to Everett Street. The closure will begin Thursday, June 1 and will reopen end of day Friday, June 2. The closure will be in place to allow the water utility to replace and restore a lead service on South Park Avenue.
