A newly formed Fond du Lac County Child Care Task Force is meeting in an effort to develop a comprehensive strategy to address a child care shortage in the area. Envision Greater Fond du Lac president Sadie Vander Velde says the task force is comprised of business, non-profit, and community organizations, child care providers and local government. Vander Velde says the task force held it's first meeting earlier this month.
Fond du Lac native Loren Voss beat the odds the first time he was diagnosed with cancer more than 30 years ago after doctors gave him just six months to live. Voss survived the cancer and was able to watch his three children grow up, get married, and have children of their own. Voss loves to turkey hunt, earning the nickname "Wisconsin Turkey Commander" after harvesting more than 150 turkeys. […]
