2-21-23 victim of fatal head-on collision in fdl county identified

One person was killed in a head on collision in Fond du Lac County.  Sheriff Ryan Waldschmidt says the crash happened around 6:30pm  Sunday on Highway 26 near Cattaraugus Road in the town of Waupun.   Waldschmidt told WFDL news a vehicle crossed the center line striking another vehicle head on.  The driver of the vehicle that crossed the center line was pronounced dead at the scene.  She has been identified as […]

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Rebecca Blank, an economist who served as chancellor of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, has died, less than a year after announcing that she had an aggressive form of cancer. For a third year in a row Holy Family Catholic Community is working with Fond du Lac area restaurants to shelter the homeless and feed the hungry.  Area restaurants donated gallons of soup, with the proceeds from the sale of the soup,  going to  the St. Katharine Drexel Homeless shelter and the Holyland Food Pantry.  The event raises several thousand dollars.  The Soup du Jour event was held Saturday afternoon  at Holy […]
