3-21-25 local unemployment rate spikes to start the new year

The local unemployment rate jumped significantly to start the new year.  The state Department of Workforce Development says the January unemployment rate  in Dodge County was 3.1 percent..up from 2.4 percent in December.  The Fond du Lac County rate was up seven-tenths of a percent to 3.3 percent.   The city of Fond du lac’s jobless rate in January was 3.8 percent, up from 3.1  percent in December.  The preliminary unemployment rates increased in  all 13 […]

The Department of Public Works would like to inform the motoring public of the one week closure of S Hickory Street between Emma Street and Ruggles Street.  The closure will be in place Tuesday, March 25 th at 7:00 am and remain closed until end of day Monday, March 31 st . The closure will be in place to allow for water utility repairs and pavement restoration.
