Former Republican state senator Randy Hopper has dropped out of the race for the 8th senate district.  Hopper said he is dropping out because he didn’t want to play a  spoiler role in the crowded Republican field.   In dropping out, he endorsed Rep. The Dodge County Sheriff's Office says a 29 year old Neosho man apparently died after falling through thin ice on the Rubicon River.  Shortly before 3:30pm Tuesday the body was recovered from the river just west of state Highway 67.   The Sheriff's Office says no foul play is suspected and the Medical Examiner is working to determine a cause of death.   Sheriff Dale Schmidt says all persons need  to use caution if going […]
