  The city of Waupun is celebrating the grand opening of a new community center.  A dedication and grand opening was held Tuesday evening for the new Waupun Community Center.   Waupun city administrator, Kathy Schlieve says the $5.8 million, 22,000 square foot facility was supported by $4.9 million in federal American Rescue Plan Act funds.  The community center includes meeting rooms, fitness rooms, a gymnasium, kitchen, food pantry and REACH Waupun.   The […]

12-4-24 at least 3 wisconsin residents sickened in latest salmonella outbreak linked to cucumbers sold in wisconsin

The latest salmonella outbreak has been linked to cucumbers sold in Wisconsin.  According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention 68 people in 19 states including at least three people in Wisconsin have become infected.  Fond du Lac County Public Health Officer Kim Mueller says the cucumbers were sold by SunFed Produce and shipped to 26 states including Wisconsin between October 12 and November 26.  Mueller says check to […]
