A competency examination has been ordered for a Taycheedah women's prison inmate charged in the beating death of her cellmate. Twenty eight year old Taylor Sanchez is charged with first-degree intentional homicide in the death of 68 year old Cindy Schulz-Juedes. The Dodge County Sheriff's Office has identified the victim of a fatal one vehicle rollover crash in Dodge County. Thirty three year old Blake Olson of Oconomowoc was killed in the crash Tuesday morning on state Highway 26 south of County Road S. Nobody was injured after a corn bailer caught fire and spread to a nearby cornfield. Shortly before 1:30 pm Thursday firefighters were called to the scene on Highway 44 and quickly extinguished the fire. The fire damaged nearby corn bales and a recently cut cornstalk field causing an estimated $9,000 in damage.
The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office is investigating numerous reports of persons impersonating a sheriff’s deputy. The individual is calling from a spoofed phone number and identifying himself as a Dodge County Sheriff’s deputy, The caller says there is a warrant for your arrest. The Sheriff’s Office says this is a scam and says if you get a call like this hang up and notify law enforcement.
