6-8-20 percentage of positive covid-19 cases in wisconsin continues to decline

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The percentage of positive COVID-19 cases in Wisconsin continues to decline. The Wisconsin Department of Health Services reported Friday that 3% of all test results were positive. That continues a downward trend over the past two weeks. 6-8-20 five new covid-19 cases in fdl county

Five new COVID-19 cases have been reported in Fond du Lac County.   Public Health Officer Kim Mueller says that brings to 230 the total number of positive cases in the county. Mueller says there are 85 active cases in the county, although she says that number can fluctuate frequently during the day.  There are more than 20,000 positive cases in Wisconsin.

6-8-20 small business grant available

The executive director of the downtown Fond du Lac Partnership is encouraging small businesses to apply for a new statewide grant to help them reopen during the COVID-19 pandemic.  Amy Hansen says small businesses can apply for the grant through the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation beginning Monday June 15.  Hansen says the grant money can be used for health and safety improvements, wages and salaries, rent, mortgages and inventory.  A business may apply […]

6-8-20 verve credit union helps local covid-19 relief effort

A financial institution is stepping up to help local COVID-19 relief efforts.   Verve, a Credit Union, is pledging a $50,000 to match local fundraising through June 30.   The matching donations will be split between the communities Verve serves.  In Fond  du Lac the money will go toward the Together Fond du Lac fundraising  effort to help area nonprofits.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources officials say they'll re-open state campgrounds next week. The DNR announced Thursday that state campgrounds will re-open June 10. Park offices will remain closed, however, and campers can expect to find automatic touchless check-ins.
