WEST ALLIS, Wis. (AP) — The Wisconsin State Fair has been canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic. The cancellation announced Thursday marks the first time since 1945 that the 169-year-old annual tradition will not take place. 5-28-20 waupun prison inmates test positive for covid-19

The state Department of Corrections says close to to 44 percent of inmates tested at the Waupun Correctional Institution have tested positive for coronavirus.  As of Wednesday, 73 inmates at Waupun had been tested. Two more deaths have been reported in Fond du Lac County due to COVID-19.  There are now five deaths  in Fond du Lac County from the virus.  Longtime Fond du Lac attorney Steve Sager died May 17 due to complications from the virus.   He was 76.   Public Health Officer Kim Mueller says another county resident , a woman in her late 60s, died Tuesday night at St. Agnes Hospital.   Meanwhile, Mueller says  there are […]
