MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The Archdiocese of Milwaukee has filed a lawsuit demanding that Wisconsin corrections officials relax COVID-19 protocols and allow ministers to visit inmates. MADISON, Wis. (AP) — State tourism officials say the coronavirus pandemic caused a 30% decline in direct spending by tourists in Wisconsin in 2020, but they are optimistic the industry will rebound this year. 5-4-21 observation towers and playgrounds open at wisconsin state parks

BARABOO, Wis. (AP) — Observation towers and playgrounds at Wisconsin state parks have reopened, as more restrictions in place during the coronavirus pandemic are loosening. The state Department of Natural Resources has also increased capacity to 100 at open-air shelters, amphitheaters, and outdoor group campgrounds as of Friday. The DNR reports that state park attendance has increased 25% so far this year compared to 2020.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The Wisconsin state Capitol, closed to the public since late March 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic, will reopen on Monday. Gov. Tony Evers’ administration announced the reopening on Friday. The Capitol will be opened for limited hours, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and only weekdays.
