MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Minnesota is calling off its scheduled game Saturday at Wisconsin due to positive COVID-19 cases within its program. The move likely knocks the 18th-ranked Badgers out of consideration for the Big Ten championship game. This weekend's scheduled Utah-Arizona State and Tulsa-Houston matchups also have been scrapped. A total of 10 scheduled games this week involving Football Bowl Subdivision teams have been postponed or canceled.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin has set another record for coronavirus deaths. The state Department of Health Services reported Tuesday that the virus was a factor in another 104 deaths. Another COVID-19 death has been reported in Fond du Lac County.  After six deaths were reported on Monday, another death was reported Tuesday, bringing to 43 the total number of COVID-19 deaths in the county.   The total number of confirmed cases has topped 8,000 with 63 new cases on Tuesday.

Fond du Lac County has experienced the largest one day death toll since the start of the pandemic.   The Fond du Lac County  Health Department reported six deaths Monday bringing to 42 the total number of deaths in the county.   Two males, ages 85 and 75,  and four females, ages 71, 80, 86 and 75 died from COVID-19 in Fond du Lac County.  There were 176 new cases Monday bringing to 7,963 the total number […]

The Fond du Lac 8 Cinema has a new general manager and is reopening from it’s COVID-19 shutdown in time for the Thanksgiving holiday.  Odyssey Theatres has announced that Paul Fieber has been appointed General Manager of their Fond du Lac 8 Cinema.    Fieber says the Fond du Lac 8 Cinema will re-open to the public Wednesday following  “cinema safe” protocols as established by the National Association of Theatre Owners.   Odyssey also […]

A statement by the Republican lawmaker from Wisconsin says he began experiencing mild symptoms over the weekend and contacted his health care provider while at home in Janesville. MILWAUKEE (AP) — Wisconsin has surpassed 3,000 COVID-19 deaths, adding a about third of that tally in November.
