9-17-20 big jump in covid-19 cases in fdl county

One of the biggest one day totals in positive COVID-19 cases in Fond du Lac County since the start of the pandemic  has pushed the total number of cases over 1500.   Fifty two new cases were reported Wednesday bringing the total number of  cases to 1,542.    There are 516 active cases and 14 people are hospitalized.

9-17-20 marshfield medical center beaver dam issues new restrictions

(AP) — Wisconsin election officials have decided to stay with their decision not to allow special voting deputies into nursing homes to help residents cast absentee ballots out of fears of spreading the coronavirus. CHICAGO (AP) — Chicago officials are cautioning city residents about travel to Wisconsin, citing a recent COVID-19 spike in Illinois' neighbor to the north. What should you look for in a hand sanitizer?  When picking a hand sanitizer, opt for one that contains mostly alcohol and has few other ingredients.    Fond du Lac County Health Department Environmental Health supervisor Danielle Vollendorf says the CDC says hand sanitizers should be at least 60 percent alcohol.  Vollendorf says use hand sanitizer only when you can’t wash your hands with soap and water.
