MILWAUKEE (AP) — Milwaukee Public Schools has suspended the start of regular season fall sports indefinitely due to the coronavirus pandemic. The district announced the decision Monday. Fond du Lac County is closing in on a thousand COVID-19 cases with 19 new cases reported Tuesday for a total of 993 positive cases.  There was also one new death bringing to ten the number of Fond du Lac County residents who have died from COVID-19.

8-25-20 dane county sheriff’s deputy dies from covid-19

MILWAUKEE (AP) — A deputy with the Dane County Sheriff’s Office who is believed to have contracted the coronavirus while on duty has died. Sheriff David Mahoney said in a statement that Richard “Rick” Treadwell is believed to be Wisconsin’s first law enforcement officer to die from the virus after contracting it while on duty.
