6-11-21 abandoned car pulled from rock river in dodge county

The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office is investigating how a car ended up in the Rock River.  Two people swimming in the river off the bridge on Elmwood Road Wednesday afternoon spotted a submerged vehicle and dialed 911.  The unoccupied BMW car was pulled from the river.  Anyone with further information involving this incident is asked to call the Dodge County Sheriff’s office at  (920)386-3726.

5-28-21 former oshkosh west high school business teacher named superintendent

A former Oshkosh West High School business teacher has been named the next superintendent of the Oshkosh School District.  Shorewood School superintendent Bryan Davis has been hired to the post.  The school board will officially approve the hiring at their meeting Tuesday.  Davis has a doctorate in urban education from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a master's in educational administration from UW-Milwaukee.  He previously served as a high school principal in Green Bay and a business education […]

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The Legislature's finance committee is poised this week to consider dramatically expanding grants to help the homeless. The Republican-controlled committee is scheduled to meet Thursday to consider a proposal in the 2021-23 state budget to pump $12.4 million into the Department of Administration's Shelter for Homeless and Housing Grants program over the biennium. 5-10-21 fdl fire and rescue holds brat fry fundraiser for red cross

The Fond du Lac Fire Department and Fond du Lac residents are paying back the Red Cross for their assistance helping fire victims.  Fond du Lac Fire and Rescue held a brat fry fundraiser Friday for the local Red Cross chapter.   Fire chief Pete O’Leary says every year Red Cross volunteers help people who have been displaced by fire.

5-7-21 two sheboygan teens killed in car vs. semi crash

PORTAGE, Wis. (AP) — Sheriff’s officials say two teenagers from Sheboygan were killed when their car collided with a semi in Columbia County. The crash happened about 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Town of Marcellon near Pardeeville. Deputies arriving at the scene found the two occupants of the car, ages 15 and 17, had died.
