4-28-21 interim fdl school superintendent says recount reinforces security of voting process

4-21-21 state patrol responds to multiple crashes on i-41 in washington and dodge counties

A brief burst of heavy snowfall blanketed parts of southeast Wisconsin on Wednesday,  causing slick roads and near white out conditions in some areas.   The Wisconsin State Patrol said there were multiple crashes along I-41 in Washington and Dodge Counties Wednesday afternoon.  Moderate to heavy snow squalls, mixed with graupel (snow pellets) are expected to continue to impact southeast Wisconsin into the early evening.

4-19-21 dodge county sheriff’s office investigating apparent murder-suicide in watertown

The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an apparent murder-suicide in Watertown.  Dodge County Sheriff Dale Schmidt says evidence at the scene indicates a 52 year old man and 16 year old boy likely died  as a result of a murder-suicide by the 52 year old.  The incident happened early Saturday morning.  The Wisconsin Department of Justice Crime Scene Unit and the Dodge County Medical Examiner’s Office assisted investigators at this scene.   Schmidt says  […]

4-16-21 recount-fdl school board race

There will be a recount in the Fond du lac School Board race.  Joe Guyette is asking for a recount after losing by 17 votes to incumbent Susan Jones for the  third seat on the school board.  Incumbent Linda Uselmann and challenger Mark Henschel were the top vote getters in last week’s election.  The recount, paid for by school district taxpayers will be held Monday.
