11-10-20 fatal motorcycle crash-fdl county

An Appleton man was killed in a motorcycle crash in Fond du Lac County.    It happened shortly before 11:30pm Monday on Highway 26 near Rose-Eld Road.   A preliminary investigation shows the motorcycle was northbound on 26 and struck a deer and the motorcycle was then struck by a southbound semi.  The motorcycle operator,  a 37 year old Appleton man, was pronounced dead at the scene.

11-5-20 record voter turnout in fdl county

A huge voter turnout in Fond  du Lac  County this week.  County Clerk Lisa Freiberg says 93 percent of registered voters cast ballots both absentee and then in-person on Tuesday.  Freiberg says more than 29,000 people voted absentee and nearly the same number voted in person.    She says while poll workers were able to process absentee ballots during the day on election day it would have been nice to be able to do that […]

The Hall of Fame cornerback Herb Adderley has died. His death was confirmed by the team Friday, with no details given. Adderley played on six NFL title teams over a 12-year career with Green Bay and Dallas. 10-21-20 man admits to disposing bodies of wi brothers

WARRENSBURG, Mo. (AP) — A prosecutor says a Missouri man accused of killing two Wisconsin brothers told authorities he disposed of the bodies but denied killing the men. 10-20-20 helicopter pilot escapes injury in door county crash

WASHINGTON ISLAND, Wis. 10-16-20 beaver dam man sentenced to prison for head butting police officer

A Beaver Dam man convicted of head-butting a police officer is going to prison.   Dodge County Circuit judge Martin DeVries sentenced 27 year old Jessie Garcia  3 1/2 years in prison and eight years extended supervision for two counts of  battery or threat to an officer and resisting an officer causing substantial bodily harm.  The defendant will also spend 8 years on supervision following the prison sentence.  According to a criminal complaint Garcia was arrested […]

10-15-20 fdl judge orders second competency exam for fdl man charged with hate crime
