WAUPACA, Wis. (AP) — Prosecutors in Waupaca County have charged a 17-year-old boy they say intentionally caused a crash that killed a woman. Logan Stedjee is charged with first-degree reckless homicide in last Saturday’s fatal crash in Bear Creek. Several pet dogs died in a fire that damaged a Beaver Dam home. Shortly before 10am Thursday firefighters responded to a report of a house fire with multiple pet animals trapped inside a Gould Street residence. Five dogs and a parrot died in the blaze. The homeowner was not home when the fire broke out. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Horicon police say a construction worker died after being struck by falling debris at the Horicon Junior/Senior High School this week. Police say the worker, a man in his 30s, died Wednesday and that no foul play is suspected. The Occupation Safety and Health Administration is investigating.
