7-6-19 man arrested in winnebago county for 9th owi

A Marshall man has been arrested  for his 9th operating while intoxicated  offense after hitting a concrete barrier wall  in Winnebago County.   The crash happened Thursday morning on I-41 northbound at Prospect Avenue.  A state trooper found 46 year old Larry Eldridge unconscious in an SUV and open intoxicants in the vehicle.  Eldridge transported to a Neenah hospital and later arrested for  OWI 9th  offense and 2nd offense Operating After Revocation.

7-1-19 wi budget-water pollution

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Republican legislators have cut millions of dollars from Democratic Gov. Tony Evers' budget proposals to reduce water pollution. Democratic Rep. Katrina Shankland released a Legislative Fiscal Bureau report Friday that shows Evers wanted to spend an additional $118 million on grants, bonding authority and positions to combat water pollution.  The report shows Republicans who control the Legislature's Joint Finance Committee reduced that figure to roughly $46 million. 6-21-19 fdl police investigating shots fired at parked vehicles

Fond du Lac police are asking for the public’s help after several vehicles were found this week with their windows shot out.  Police say three vehicles parked on West Johnson Street had windows damaged from gunshots. No injuries were reported.  Anyone with information is asked to call police.

5-22-19 saint mary’s springs academy principal stepping down

Fond du Lac’s Saint Mary’s Springs Academy is looking for a new principal.  Dr. Julie Shively is resigning as the grades six-12 principal  to accept a principal position at a Catholic school on the east coast.  The resignation is effective at the end of the school year.  Interim System president Stacey Akey thanked principal Shively for her dedication and commitment and says a search for a replacement will begin immediately.
