8-9-22 primary election

Voters are going to the polls in Tuesday's primary election with a handful  of local and statewide races.   Fond  du Lac County Clerk Lisa Freiberg says top races locally include a contested Republican contest for the 52nd Assembly District seat in Fond du Lac County and a Republican primary for Dodge County Sheriff.  Statewide there are GOP contests for governor and attorney general, along with other statewide races.

8-4-22 second person convicted of voter fraud in fdl county

The second of several people charged with voter fraud in Fond du Lac County has been convicted.  Donald Holz was sentenced to ten days in jail and fined $500 plus court costs.  Holz voted in the November 2020 election even though he was still on felony supervision from an owi conviction.   Last month, Lawrence Klug was convicted of misdemeanor voter fraud for improperly using a P.O. 7-21-22 fdl county board approves one to one squad program for sheriff’s office

7-20-22 high speed pursuit-interstate 41

Another high speed pursuit in Fond du Lac County  involving illegal drugs.  It started in Winnebago County and continued on Interstate 41 southbound in Fond du Lac County.  The chase ended when the vehicle and entered the ditch near Quad Graphics in Dodge County and the driver fled on foot.  He was quickly apprehended  A bag tossed from the vehicle during the chase was recovered and  contained what was described as a significant amount of […]

7-19-22 groundbreaking held for new fdl blue line club girls locker room

7-15-22 truck fire

Nobody was injured in a fire that significantly damaged a truck.  Shortly before 3am Friday firefighters were called to Woodland Avenue and Main Street to find the front of a passenger truck on fire.  The fire was quickly extinguished.  A vehicle parked nearby received heat damage.  The fire is currently under investigation.
