5-3-18 sheboygan man arrested for owi after two children fall out of his vehicle

A Sheboygan man is charged with OWI after  his two young children  fell out of the van he was driving Tuesday night.  Police say witnesses said they saw the two children fall into the intersection.  Police say when they arrested the father a short time later he told officers he was not aware his children had fallen out of the vehicle. 4-30-18 suv vs train crash in dodge county

Nobody was injured when an SUV collided with a train in Dodge County.  The crash happened Friday afternoon on the railroad crossing at Cross Street just east of Highway 26 in the town of Burnett.  The crossing is controlled by a yield sign.   The Sheriff’s  Office says a 27 year old Mayville man escaped injury when his SUV collided with a northbound Wisconsin & Southern freight train.

4-4-18 two new faces elected to fdl city council

There are two new faces on the Fond du lac city council.  Challenger Ben Giles was the top vote getter with 2,951 votes.  Giles joins his father, Greg Giles, on the council.  Challenger Donna Richards was also elected along with incumbents Karen Merkel  and Kay Miller.  There were three contested races for county board.  Incumbent Gary Will defeated challenger Andrew Zuelke in District 2.  Will was also elected mayor in […]

3-27-18 fire damages fdl mobile home

Nobody was injured in a fire that significantly damaged a mobile home in Fond du Lac County.  Firefighters were called this morning to the Daniel Foss residence on Oakwood Drive in the Woodland Trailer Park to find  a bedroom on fire and the only occupant outside. 3-24-18 free spirit riders-grant

A Fond du Lac area group that provides therapeutic horseback riding for disabled  people has received a gift.   The Million Dollar Roundtable Foundation has awarded a  $2,000 grant to Free SPIRIT Riders.  Representing the Foundation, Mike Immel,  from Immel Insurance & Financial Services,  presented a check to Free SPIRIT Riders earlier this month.
