MARINETTE, Wis. (AP) — A Wisconsin man who became an instant millionaire with a winning lottery ticket has been sentenced for stalking and other charges related to his obsession with a woman who rejected his advances.  Fifty-year-old Douglas P. ADISON, Wis. (AP) — Gov. Scott Walker is promising to cut tuition for all undergraduates in the University of Wisconsin System.  Walker made the promise Tuesday in his State of the State address. 1-5-17 election recount costs

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The actual cost of the presidential election recount in Wisconsin is expected to be about $1.8 million, nearly half of the estimated cost of $3.5 million.  The Wisconsin Elections Commission is still waiting on final costs from Brown and Kenosha counties. 10.29.16 St. Mary Springs get win over Lake Country Lutheran

The St. Mary Springs Ledgers beat Lake Country Lutheran 31-12 in North Fond du Lac. The Ledgers jumped up 7-0 in the 1st Quarter only to see Lake Country Lutheran get the score within 7-6. 5-7-16 new k9 officer added to fdl police force

The City of Fond du Lac Police Department has a new K9 officer.  Officer Kyle Hoefer will introduce his new K9 partner  “Brüx” next week.  The pair completed their four week intensive training program on Friday.  Their first regular patrol shift together as a K9 team will be  Tuesday, May 10th.  K9 “Brüx” is a 19 month old German Shepard and is trained as a Dual Purpose Patrol Dog; trained in […]

Two Fond du Lac residents have completed their segments in a cross country relay to raise money for multiple sclerosis research.  Melissa Schmidt and Carlee Schmitz were participating in the MS Run US…a relay that started in Los Angelas, ending in New York.  Melissa Schmidt ran the first leg last month starting at the Pacific Ocean.  Carly Schmitz started April 24th in Nevada…finishing this week, more than 240 miles later in Utah.  "Pure […]
