MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources officials say wolf hunters trapped 80 percent of their kills and used dogs to take six animals.  DNR carnivore specialist Dave MacFarland told the agency's board Wednesday that hunters killed 154 wolves during the season that ended last week. MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin hunters killed far fewer deer this gun season than a year ago.  The Department of Natural Resources says preliminary figures show 191,550 deer were taken, down 25 percent from last year.  The overall buck harvest was a little over 90,000, down about 8 percent from a year ago. 11-21-14 wi unemployment rate down slightly

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin's unemployment rate stands at 5.4 percent in October, dropping slightly from 5.5 percent the previous month.  The state Department of Workforce Development reported Thursday that the state added 4,000 private sector jobs over the last month at the same time unemployment went down.  The unemployment rate is the lowest since the recession in October 2008.
