12-27-21 pregnant appleton woman killed in traffic crash

MILWAUKEE (AP) — Authorities have identified a pregnant woman who was killed in in a three-vehicle crash near Weyauwega in northeastern Wisconsin. The State Patrol identified the woman killed in the Thursday morning crash as 26-year-old Genesis Stanton of Appleton. Her unborn child did not survive. MILWAUKEE (AP) — The city of Milwaukee has seen nearly 200 homicides so far this year.  As of Tuesday the city had recorded 175 homicides in 2021. The city saw 189 homicides last year after recording 98 in 2019. 11-24-21 missing elderly fdl county man found safe

An elderly Fond du Lac County man was found safe after he had wandered away from his home and was reported missing.     Early Wednesday morning the Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office received a calll from a resident on Hickory Road in the town of Byron reporting that his 93 year old father had walked away from the home.  The caller said his father suffers from age-related medical conditions.    Sheriff's deputies, Fond du Lac paramedics […]

11-24-21 fdl school district meets expectations in latest school report card

The Fond du Lac School District superintendent says the latest report card has some bright spots, but areas where the district has some work to do.   Overall the Fond du Lac School District met expectations during the 2020-21 school year.  Superintendent Dr. Jeff Fleig says the district needs to work to improve reading and math achievement.  Fleig says the pandemic created  social and emotional challenges for students.
