9-12-14 fdl salvation army assistance

As summer turns to fall and winter the Fond du Lac Salvation Army is making a plea for assistance.  Salvation Army social services director Ron Jacobson says there’s a great need for non perishable food items to stock the food pantry.  Jacobson says there’s also a need for winter clothing and blankets.

9-9-14 wisconsin budget shortfall

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The Legislature's nonpartisan Fiscal Bureau says the projected shortfall for the next two-year state budget ending in mid-2017 stands at nearly $1.8 billion.  The Fiscal Bureau released the latest estimate on Monday. MANITOWOC, Wis. (AP) — Police say an officer making a traffic stop in eastern Wisconsin found an intoxicated driver behind the wheel — and she was just 13 years old.  They say five other juveniles, 14 and under, were along for the ride.  Authorities say the officer stopped the vehicle in Manitowoc shortly before midnight Wednesday because its headlights were off. 8-12-14 authorities identify dodge county fatal accident victim

Authorities have released the name of the victim of a fatal  automobile accident in Dodge County.  The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office says 40 year old  Kyle Schultz of  rural Beaver Dam was killed when he lost control of his vehicle on County G in the town of Calamus and struck a tree.  The accidernt happened early Saturday morning.   Investigators say speed is believed to be a factor in the […]
